1. An Effective Platform for Content Distribution
The TV TOKYO Group brings terrestrial, CS and FM radio media properties, while BS Japan offers access to a BS platform, and TV TOKYO Broadband brings broadband Internet and mobile communications channels to the new entity. This will provide us with a platform to effectively offer a wide variety of content to viewers/users.
2. A Stronger Competitive Footing as a Group
The new entity will link broadcasting and communications, allowing us to effectively utilize the entire breadth of Group management resources strategically. This will allow us to accomplish our role as a responsible media organization, while also establishing a stronger competitive footing as a Group.
3. Timely Response to Changes in the Social Structure
The structure of society is changing. Issues include the rapid development of internationalization, protecting rights, conforming to international accounting standards, and implementing more robust CSR management and corporate governance. This new entity will allow us to respond to such changes in the social structure in a more timely and comprehensive manner.
4. Faster Development of New Businesses
By consolidating strategic functions within a single certified broadcasting holding company, we will be able to exercise more appropriate timing in creating business and/or equity alliances with companies outside the Group. In addition to strengthening existing businesses, we expect to be able to better develop and roll out new businesses, selecting the best partners according to the nature of the content in question.
